Angelica Maria Vale Hartman (also known professionally as Angelica Vale) is a Mexican American artist, performer-singer, comedian and radio host. Her birthplace was in Mexico City and raised by the comedian Raul Vale. Angelica Maria Vale Hartman is known for being the pioneer for the La Balada Ranchera musical genre that reached the top of charts in 1973. Angelica Maria became the first Latino singer to achieve two million sales copies in America. She was married in 1974 to Venezuelan comedian and singer Raul Vae with whom she had met in 1974.
